Acne is a common problem for most teens and even some adults. Most of the time that end up buying an expensive “system” to help and treat the problem. But why unnecessary money when you just use some herbs from the store or what you may already have in your home.
Lets try some mint.
Peppermint is the preferred medicinal herb to spearmint as it contains menthol; which is an anti-inflammatory and analgesic. However, you can use whatever is available if you aren’t sure which type the market has or if you can not find peppermint. To use this treatment you take a handful (about a cup), of the leaves and crush them with a mortar and pestle thoroughly. Apply the leaves and juice and rub on the affected area, leave on for 5-10 minutes; rinse with cool water and repeat as needed. If you experience irritation, which is rare, discontinue use.
The oatmeal treatment.
Cook one serving of plain oatmeal and add 1/4 cup of honey and blend thoroughly; allow too cool. When applying to face avoid the eye area, leave on ten minutes, if left on to long it will become difficult to remove. The oatmeal absorbs oil and exfoliates the skins, which cleanses the pore, the honey serves as a toner.
Lemon juice & Rose Water
Mix rose water and lemon juice in equal parts, apply to your skin, it may have a slight sting. Rinse after 15 minutes, but do not leave on longer than 30 minutes. It works because lemon juice is a natural mild antibacterial agent and astringent. And rose water, which is made out of rose petals also contain antibacterial properties. Avoid the sun if you have been using lemon juice on your face; if you experience irritation discontinue use.
Aloe Vera
Also, barbadensis is most common out of the hundreds of varieties in North America, but aloe absorbs and also has healing properties, but is less powerful than aloe barbadensis. The gel has a soothing and cooling effect on acne sores, and is a natural antibiotic. You will need to cut the left down the center and allow the yellow gel to drain. Use the aloe immediately and rinse the gel under cool water. Cut the piece of gel and apply to the affected area avoiding the eyes. If you need to use immediately take a serrated knife and remove the thick skin. You can use the gel for about a week if it stores in the refrigerator in an airtight container.
The treatment listed about are commonly use and there are many other treatments as well.
